Hand-made GIMP 2.0 Splash.
Instalation (as root):
mv /usr/gimp/2.0/images/gimp-splash.png gimp-sp.orig.png
cp gimp-sp-0.1pre-exp.liviopl.png /usr/share/gimp/2.0/images/gimp-splash.png
Restoring (as root too):
rm /usr/share/gimp/2.0/images/gimp-splash.png
mv...

EnterLinux - grub splash

I liked the lilo screen found here: http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=11098
but use grub, so I made my own.
To install, just copy downloaded file to your /boot partition, then edit menu.lst (grub.conf in some distros) to say:
splashimage=(hdX,Y)/boot/grub/EnterLinux.xpm.gz...
