Description:

Widget style based on the Plastik style. Krisp version 0.2 is finally here! Thanks to all who made suggestions and comments. Version 0.2 has lots of changes. Most importantly, it should work completely independently of the Lipstik style.

Some notes: I have not had time to test Krisp on KDE 3.4 and I suspect it will still crash. Please try it and let me know. (* Good news, reports are it doesn't crash with KDE 3.4 *) Also, changing settings has been disabled for now. I hope this isn't a problem for anybody, but I should have that resolved soon.

I have KDE 3.4.2 and my configure - make - sudo make install seemed to complet succesfully. but now I just can't see KRISP neither in the Windeco thing or in the Style thing. can you fix it, or provide a deb package, please?
now i'll try again with
./configure --prefix="/usr"
(is that right?)

HI. I'm not sure because I haven't yet been able to play with it on kde 3.4. If you could send me a log of the install activity, I could try and look into it for you. Does anyone else have this problem with kde 3.4?

Hi!

I´m kind of a newbie to linux, and I have no (or litte) clue how to install the krisp-theme.

´./configure --prefix=/opt/kde3´

seems to work well, but `make` doesn´t seem to do a lot:

make all-recursive
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/jclaro/programme/kde/themes/23793-krisp-0.2/krisp-0.2'
Making all in style
make[2]: Entering directory `/home/jclaro/programme/kde/themes/23793-krisp-0.2/krisp-0.2/style'
Making all in config

make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/jclaro/programme/kde/themes/23793-krisp-0.2/krisp-0.2'

is all I get ;-)

Any help would be mostly appreciated!

Thanks,

Juan

It seems like that's fine. I don't speak that language, but I don't see any errors. You need to su to root and then do make install.

Hey guys, let me know what you think of the new menu bar item style (File, Edit, View.. etc.). Is it better or worse than the old style and what suggestions do you have?

Is Krisp 0.2 configurable like lipstik style?

The 'menu vertical band' looks ugly to me. is configuration possible?

As of now, I've disabled options because they were causing problems (aka crashes) and I wanted to push out this release ASAP. (I know, bad developer style...I'm a horrible, horrible person) Hopefully, they will be back soon and better than before.

I started playing around with the older version today and didn't like how the tabs looked in Konsole. See that it was a blending of Lipstik and Plastik styles, I was hoping that it could use the style of Plastik for the tabs. The honestly look kinda like Keramik. Was that changed with the new version?
Btw, I like your style and see it having nice prospects.

Actually, tabs were one of the few things I didn't touch for this release. Right now I am working on the settings, so I'll see what I can do for making that into a setting.

I just wasn't sure if that was by design or not. Can't wait to see it become a reality.
