Hi,

I like your theme very much. I installed a deb pkg. called kwin-baghira in breezy. It doesn't show up in theme but it shows up in other places. So I could change the window decoration etc. but can't use the icons.

Installtion from the source ball provided at your sourceforge site, is also not working. It complains that it can't find the gcc library. I am using KDE 3.5 in breezy.

Any help will be appreciated.

Baghira is my favorite kde theme, but something in the .7 release breaks kpdf. (kghostview works fine.) When I try to open a kpdf file while using the baghira theme, by cpu suddenly goes up to 100%. The problem vanishes when I use another theme. Thanks for providing such a lovely theme.

your screenshots look magnificent, so idownloaded the tarball and followed your (fairly standard) instructions for installing.

one problem - my kde hasnt changed! i've checked in control center > appeearances&themes > themes manager, but baghira is not mentioned. it is mentioned in styles, but this just changes a few tabs and buttons and things. not the wholesale skinning effect that you show in your screenshot.

i'm sure i'm missing something obvious, since this ismy first attempt at installing a theme. can you please help?

thanks!

1.
i got broken deco buttons... habe to click much too high to get them clicked. also they sometimes lit up, sometimes they dont... is this a bug that forces me to upgrade or something with my system? running kde 3.4.x and latest debian package of baghira here... 0.7-something-a

2.
n how do i get my tray icons smaller? they're too big to fit my menu bar

3.
after applying the menu bar background image, i dont have the menu entrys of the actual app any more *lol*

4.
how do i set my bars up in a way to have only one bar? the menu bar cant sit into the main bar, so i have to use the menu bar instead of the main bar. but i cant disable the main bar... :-/ just hide it, but then it pops up when moving the cursor to the corner. any ideas?

would be nice if someone could help me with that :-)

How to enable dropshadows in theme? I'm using baghira from 0.6c release, and still don't know how to do it. On preview images ( like on original Mac style ) shadow is present.

i really really love this style.
but firefox always crashes with this error:
(Gecko:9101): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_unref: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed
/usr/bin/firefox: line 259: 9101 Segmentation fault $MOZ_PROGRAM $MOZ_LANG

the same with thunderbird.
i have tried it with all versions of firefox. from 1.0.2 to 1.5 beta 2.
can someone help me ? i would love to use the style but not without firefox and thunderbird. :)

Merge Baghira 0.7 in to my Gentoo. I have Gentoo 64bit
I discover this little thing in the style "brushed metal" dosen't worked att all in baghira 0.7. But in Baghira 0.6e bruched metal works just fine. So I have it at the moment. Becaus I rely love the brushed metal. SO my compliments to the creator of this theme.

So I wonder whats wrong or someone have an idea whats it is depends on.

My system "drives" in"stabel version" and everything are upp to date.

I have even tryed out to install from source kode and it's dosen't help.

So how can I get bruched metal to work on baghira 0.7?

As Debian is lacking a recent version of KDE (read: still has 3.3 in Testing) I tried to compile Baghira 0.7 and I'm happy to tell you: it works. Not out of the box, mind you, but by deleting two lines from the sources I got it to compile and work flawlessly. I don't remember what to delete right now, but if anyone here is interested I could look into it again. And Thomas: if you want Baghira to work with an ancient KDE release just drop me a line and I'll send you a patch for 0.7 ;-)
