Does Baghira allow skinning of third party applications such as Maya, XSI, Shake, Cinelerra, Jahshaka, Cinepaint/Gimp, etc?

no, style for the trolltech toolkit (qt) only - also the application must make use of the style (as e.g. opera does not, as it has it's own internal style engine) however gtk2 apps can make use ot gtkl-qt, a gtk style that calls the qt styles, but i do not guarantee for proper funcionality (i use a lot of qt specific stuff to move towards the mac design)

./configure blows up big time on OpenBSD 3.6, even after appending four lines of environment variables and configure options it complains that I haven't got kdelibs installed. Looking at config.log suggests `uic' ran fine but choked because it didn't output anything to stdout/stderr :P

Compiles fine on my Slack 10.1 box.

Hi,

I use suse 9.3 with kde 3.4, when I add the menu applet for the kicker and then enable the mac os menubar style kicker always crash, but just with the mac os style, with the desktop menu don't. I'm not sure this is baghira related problem, but why kicker menu applet make kicker crash when I enable mac os menubar style?? Just this and my Desktop if finish!!!

thx, a lot.

The new Baghira sidebar is very, very cool. Is there an easy way to add new entries to it?

Is it somehow possible for this theme to be effective on GTK apps, such as gaim, gimp, gftp, grip and so on, so they look like QT rendered apps? That would be simply great.

I tried compiling on Debian, I get the errors as above posters. I tried ./install.sh.

It creates home/AJ/bin/bab
in /home/AJ/lib/kde3

these files are created

kstyle_baghira_config.la kstyle_baghira_config.so kwin_baghira_config.la kwin_baghira_config.so

in /home/AJ/share/apps/kdisplay

I have theses files AquaBlue.kcsrc AquaGraphite.kcsrc

I cannot see them in Control Center, If I run ./bab I get a small pallet to use Aqua/Graphite but nothing much happens.

What should I do?

Thanks
AJ

Anyone mind making packages for the CVS. As of the .5 version I could never compile the deco, and now I'm left out of that part of the CVS, and for some reason now I can't compile bab. Debian user here, btw.

I finally succeeded in installing this theme but, I don't understand why I have no possibility to change the K Menu button. I'd like to have it like Macintosh apple button...What should I do for that ? I thought it would be installed automatically but it doesn't seem...

I looked in the configuration panel but nothing ... I'm using a Kubuntu Linux package for those of you who can help.

Many thanks.

The KMenu icon is controlled by your icon files, not the style. For me the icon is (depending on where the theme is installed) ~/.kde/share/icons/<resolution>/apps/kmenu.png or /usr/share/icons/<theme>/<resolution>/apps/kmenu.png

for example, /usr/share/icons/crystalsvg/128x128/apps/kmenu.png

Good luck.

It's great, but i have one little question: is it possible to retain the strippled pattern of the menu applet on the child panel while changing the look of several windows to brushed metal ? I'm asking, because when I change for example my konqueror window (to make it look more safari-like) to brushed style, the menu applet automatically changes to brushed too, but it frankly looks a bit weird, like it didn't fit the rest of the child panel (which is strippled, as my general style is "aqua") at all. If anyone knows how to solve it please lemme know :)

try ./configure --prefix=$HOME/.kde --disable-debug --enable-final if the system is valid configured (especially QTDIR exported) everything should work fine. if you're missing the qt/kde headers, you're pretty f****, as long as you don't want to create a completely local kde. btw: most universities restrict the permittance to install software locally - if not by technical limitations (what's hardly possible), then by a user greement you signed, so be carefull on this
