Description:

This is a bootsplash-screen for Debian.
www.bootsplash.org ist very useful if you want a bootsplash on Debian.
I took DogFaceMonk's bootsplash-screen and just added the Debian-logo.
Last changelog:

This Bootsplash now has a working progress bar (at least it's working on my Debian Woody).
I followed the HowTo on http://bulmalug.net/impresion.phtml?nIdNoticia=1812

The files "rc" and "rcS" are included in the package.

Sure, do you want it with or without the text (Debian Gnu/Linux)?

i have found a script, and adapted it to use /sbin/fbmngplay, but it is hard to make it load it from the right runlevel...

i'll send you the script via email if you are interested...

Hi!

First of all, you need a kernel, that supports bootsplash-logo. You will have to recompile the kernel.
On http://www.bootsplash.org you will find a howto.
You also will need an initial ramdisk (initrd) which you can make with the tool "splash".
The tool can also be downloaded on www.bootsplash.org
Finaly you will have to alter your lilo.conf to load the initrd on startup and boot the new compiled kernel.

Hope that helps,

but i have done all of it and still there is one problem ... when starting system i have an message like that :
RAMDISK: Couldn't find valid RAM disk image starting at 0.

I don't know what to do :(
I have patched the kernel and copliled it to use SPLASHSCREEN instead of BOOTLOGO, changed lilo.conf i have used ./splash program to create initrd image but still it isnt working :(
